Location : Knoxville, TN

Salary : $80,000 — $85,000

Bonus : $160/k-$170/k OTE

Position Summary
The Account Sales Engineer (ASE) drives sales of Company’s ID and Vision product portfolio within an assigned territory, targeting end-users and machine builders. This role focuses on meeting sales quotas, building a pipeline of complex business opportunities, and collaborating with Territory Sales Engineers (TSEs) to deliver exceptional customer experiences. The ASE partners with OEM Sales Engineers, Global Account Managers (GAMs), and integration partners to ensure comprehensive strategic account coverage.

Essential Functions

  • Properly forecast and close vision solutions opportunities with End Users, Partners, and OEMs to reach the quota goal
  • Utilize the Company’s sales process to effectively demonstrate products to customers and winning large strategic opportunities
  • Follows up on sales leads and schedules customer visits, seeking out large opportunities
  • Effectively conducts customer visits in a solution sales environment
  • Collaborate with counterparts from other territories on opportunities that are either integrated or installed in a different territory or where the decision makers do not reside in the Account Manager’s territory
  • Follow up on customer inquiries, understand system requirements, and differentiate the Company’s solution
  • Assists at trade shows and other marketing events
  • Coordinate evaluations utilizing the Applications Engineering team
  • Maintain and continuously update project information in Sales Book

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 4+ years proven track record of sales performance in automation or selling machine vision or similar industry
  • Proven track record of operating in a solutions sales environment
  • Uses defined sales process to deliver desired results on a consistent basis
  • PC literate with a working knowledge of MS Windows applications
  • Ability to travel 40% of the time is required
  • Ability to work independently is required
  • Must be able to lift and carry demonstration equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

Minimum education and work experience required

  • Technical Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proven sales experience and a good track record for exceeding sales targets is required
  • Experience in selling technical products to all levels of an organization is required
  • Experience in selling vision products is also preferred
