Salary : $120,000 — $135,000
Bonus : 30% bonus on that – $30-$40k
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager – National Accounts & Private Label to join our team. This role will focus on building and expanding relationships with national industrial distributors and driving growth within our private label channel.
Position Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategies to increase our Company’s market share and revenue with national distribution partners and strategic private label customers. This role requires a proven ability to manage complex accounts, build long-term partnerships, and identify new growth avenues across diverse channels.
Key Responsibilities
- National Accounts Growth
- Build, maintain, and expand strong relationships with key decision-makers at national industrial distributors.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue growth targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement national programs, promotions, and joint marketing initiatives.
- Monitor account performance, identify growth opportunities, and provide regular reporting to leadership.
- Private Label Development
- Partner with existing and prospective private label customers to expand business opportunities.
- Manage private label projects from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and company capabilities.
- Support pricing, positioning, and product strategy tailored to private label customers.
- Coordinate with operations, marketing, and product development to deliver best-in-class service and solutions.
- Strategic Account Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for national accounts and private label partners.
- Negotiate contracts, agreements, and pricing structures.
- Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, operations, and leadership to ensure account satisfaction and sustained growth.
- Market & Business Development
- Identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities to guide strategy.
- Represent Company at key industry trade shows, customer events, and business reviews.
- Provide feedback to leadership on market intelligence and opportunities for innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or national account management within industrial, manufacturing, or distribution channels.
- Proven success developing and managing programs with national distributors and/or private label customers.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently, think strategically, and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual collaboration tools.
