Seeking an Industrial Engineer focusing on Logistics to design or analyze operational solutions for projects such as plant layouts, workspace and product flow optimization, and capacity enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop specifications for equipment, tools, facility layouts, or material-handling systems
  • Identify or develop business rules or standard operating procedures to streamline operating processes
  • Interview key staff or tour facilities to identify efficiency-improvement, cost-reduction, or service-delivery opportunities
  • Determine feasibility of designing new facilities or modifying existing facilities, based on factors such as cost, available space, schedule, technical requirements, or ergonomics
  • Design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency
  • Produce graphic presentations to help drive factory and site-wide decision making that align with the overall vision of the factory
  • Develop and maintain organized layout documents on a shared site with content that is easy to understand
  • Create layout scenarios/options that show future versions of the factory as we continually optimize the factory and site
  • Study operations sequence, material flow, functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine worker functions and responsibilities
  • Travel up to 40% to KPD sites
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical engineering role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering field- Mechanical, Industrial, or Electronics preferred
  • Experience leading and managing projects
  • Experience Value Stream Mapping and/or with process Flow Diagrams
  • Experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD – Required
  • Material flow and capacity analysis – Required
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite – Preferred
  • Six Sigma Green Belt- Preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible/adapt to rapidly changing requirements/timelines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight; prioritize and communicate assignments
  • Ability to ask questions and challenge assumptions
  • Exemplary content/written communication skills
