Summary
A Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process. Their duties include researching automation techniques, testing new systems for efficiency and planning factory layouts to optimize production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Accountable for the manufacturing process building quality products and make implementation for improvements in quality control of production
- Accountable for all production processes, methods and other data and then provide management with reports containing the data and statistics
- Apply project-based improvements for the manufacturing process based on stated data
- Ensure that the company’s manufacturing processes are in compliance with all government laws and regulations, as required by company mandates
- Accountable for standard labor model veracity and improve efficiency through continuous improvement
- Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency
- Evaluate cost/benefit and plan deployment of capex projects to improve production capabilities and efficiency
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services and make sure that manufacturer’s procedures and instructions are followed in order to keep production equipment operational
- Accountable for all Fixtures used on production floor, included their standards and documentation
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required for this position:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Three years of experience using SolidWorks Pro
- Working knowledge of PDM and ERP systems
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks, and to assess and prioritize tasks
Language Skills
- Fluent in written and verbal English
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents
- Able to communicate persuasively, and clearly communicate highly technical issues to non-technical audiences across all levels within the company
- Able to effectively discern business priorities and business/customer needs, translate these into to technical requirements, and effectively communicate these requirements to Design Engineers
Reasoning Ability
- Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Able to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Able to discern key drivers and priorities of development projects
Computer Skills
- Strong to expert-level knowledge is required in the following:
- Microsoft Windows
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Outlook
- Microsoft Project
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Chrome
- ABAS or other ERP system
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Valid driver’s license, with no major violations on driving record
Work Location
- This is an office-based position
- This position requires occasional local, domestic, and international travel
