Seeking a Mechanical Engineer that is to work with the mechanical engineering team in new designs, sustaining designs, production designs, troubleshooting, and testing across vehicle product lines.
Draft drawings and designs in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
Follow applicable procedures for part numbering, ECO’s and other engineering procedures
Responsible new designs, development, sustaining designs and development, customer vehicle troubleshooting, research and development and engineering support as needed
Hands-on testing, fit checking, prototyping, jig development on various projects and product lines
Ensuring work is completed within project timelines and schedules as assigned
Documentation of projects, solutions, designs, inspection instructions, work instructions and other relevant documentation
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Bachelor’s degree majoring in mechanical engineering or relevant field
1-3 years of relevant work experience (automotive) preferred
Technical document management, such as BOM, SOP, PFMEA
Familiar with basic mechanical product knowledge of vehicles, such as braking, steering, suspension, and cooling system
Familiar with GD&T, mechanical fixture design, and tooling management
Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D Design software (SolidWorks must) and Microsoft Suite
