WHAT YOU’LL DO
Seeking a Mechanical Engineer that is to work with the mechanical engineering team in new designs, sustaining designs, production designs, troubleshooting, and testing across vehicle product lines.
- Draft drawings and designs in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Follow applicable procedures for part numbering, ECO’s and other engineering procedures
- Responsible new designs, development, sustaining designs and development, customer vehicle troubleshooting, research and development and engineering support as needed
- Hands-on testing, fit checking, prototyping, jig development on various projects and product lines
- Ensuring work is completed within project timelines and schedules as assigned
- Documentation of projects, solutions, designs, inspection instructions, work instructions and other relevant documentation
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Bachelor’s degree majoring in mechanical engineering or relevant field
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience (automotive) preferred
- Technical document management, such as BOM, SOP, PFMEA
- Familiar with basic mechanical product knowledge of vehicles, such as braking, steering, suspension, and cooling system
- Familiar with GD&T, mechanical fixture design, and tooling management
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D Design software (SolidWorks must) and Microsoft Suite
- Be able to travel, 15-30%
