Location : Rialto, CA
The Position
- Prepare Submittal Packages with the use of CAD drawings for the manufacture of pipe based on civil plans and specifications, and industry standards
- Perform basic civil engineering calculations to derive station, elevation, slope, deflection and curve data
- Identifies design problems, such as location, elevation, and pipe alignment conflicts; develops and presents proposed resolutions to the assigned project engineer
The ideal candidate for this position must possess the ability to head the drafting department in three to four years.
Required Skills
- Blue-print literate
- Ability to create and revise drawings in a timely fashion based on both the customer and shop requirements
- Algebra and trigonometric civil engineering calculations literate
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2013 or later
- Experienced in drafting methods, procedures, and techniques
- Efficient customer and interdepartmental; interpersonal communication skills
- Interface with other groups, CAD personnel, subconsultants, and project engineers in order to support project production
- Prudency
- Microsoft Office Suites Proficient
Desired Skills
- Experience with reading civil engineering plans and specifications
- Trigonometry or Analytic Geometry math level with an understanding of civil engineering calculations utilizing stations, elevations, slopes, deflections and curves
- Experience in AutoCAD in a civil design capacity

AA Degree Preferred
