General Description
Project Managers are responsible for managing projects of all sizes through their life cycle. Employees in this position take full responsibility for the design/engineering duties associated with the projects they are assigned. In this roll the Project Engineering Manager will be a player-coach and be responsible for the Project Group developing concept designs, preparing price sheets, sourcing materials and services, working with the Sales Engineer to present a complete bid package, manage customer approvals, and coordinate fabrication schedule and ship dates with production. The Project Engineering Manager will also be responsible for employee coaching and development as well as team continuous improvement.

- Responsible for on time delivery of approval documents, drawings, product shipment, and other purchase order contract deliverables
- Own continuous improvement of the department and procedures
- Aggressively and professionally seek approvals and answers to questions to help ensure timely completion of contracts
- Prioritize team, engineering, and production work for all active contracts
- Clearly communicate contract requirements and Company standards to all parties
- Provide feedback to other departments to learn and become more efficient
- Present current project status and answer questions during meetings with all business units
- Handle overall design/engineering duties involved in projects
- Understand customer compliance requirements and specifications
- Have complete understanding of relevant codes (ASME, CGA, Etc.)
- Support the company’s policies, processes, and procedures
- Create detailed piping layouts
- Gather project details for customers
- Provide rapid response time/exceed customer expectations
- Infrequent Travel, <25% of time
Organizational Relationships
- Reports to the Director of Sales, Large Bore Division
- Partner with Large Bore Sales team to meet or exceed booking and revenue goals
- Manage Company’s project management team and sub-vendors as needed
- Coordinate proposal and contract deliverables with team, engineering, production, accounting, and others
Education, Work Experience, Skill Requirements, and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field or 5 years equivalent experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead others either formally or informally
- Direct management experience preferred
- Knowledge of piping systems, components, or accessories
- Knowledge of cryogenic piping systems preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, isometrics, and drawings
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks preferred
Special Requirements
- May be required to work weekends and holidays as business necessitates; schedule will be determined by management with at least 48 hours advance notice

- Includes working at height or elevated positions, around moving vehicles, and exposure to other hazards
