Position Overview
The ideal candidate for the Sales Account Executive position should possess a robust background in sales within SLED and commercial sectors, with a focus on cybersecurity and IT infrastructure solutions. They should demonstrate a proven track record in managing complex sales cycles, building high-value relationships, and achieving significant revenue targets. A strong network within these sectors, combined with excellent relationship management and strategic execution skills, is crucial for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies, manage the sales pipeline, and ensure consistent lead flow.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and collaborate with OEMs and partners.
- Client Engagement: Address client needs with tailored solutions, and conduct needs assessments.
- Sales Operations: Manage the end-to-end sales process using HubSpot and NetSuite effectively.
- Collaboration: Work with internal teams to deliver integrated solutions and align efforts with business objectives.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities and provide feedback to refine strategies.
Key Qualifications
Experience
- Years of Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in a sales role within the SLED/commercial sectors.
- Sales Success: Demonstrated success in managing large-scale sales cycles, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of technology solutions, particularly cybersecurity and digital/security transformation. Familiarity with industry trends and market conditions.
Skills
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Expertise in developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets. Ability to build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders. Experience in collaborating with OEMs and partners to enhance sales efforts.
- Client Engagement: Skillful in understanding and addressing client needs, providing tailored solutions, and conducting thorough needs assessments.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong grasp of cybersecurity concepts and IT infrastructure solutions. Experience with segmentation, zero trust architecture, and hybrid workforce solutions is highly desirable.
- CRM Proficiency: Proficiency in using CRM systems, with a preference for HubSpot (Salesforce experience is also acceptable).
Communication
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
Compensation Package
- Bonus / Commission: Performance-based commissions on new and renewal sales orders, typically around 4% of commissionable margin
- Pay Schedule: Commissions are paid quarterly, tied to achievement of annual target margin
