Seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer with an emphasis in development of Embedded FPGA firmware. You will be responsible and accountable for implementing, developing and testing of software features related to existing and our next generation EO/IR Surveillance systems. You will be working with a highly technical team in a collaborative team environment. We have a small company atmosphere where you will have an opportunity to perform a variety of cross-functional tasks.
Responsibilities
- Develop and test, embedded and user interface software product releases
- Implement new features and new products as well enhancements for existing software products
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting and debugging activities to identify/resolve issues within software products
- Communicate with product suppliers regarding software integrations
- Architect software solutions utilizing new technologies
- Propose and implement system enhancements that will improve reliability and performance

Experience
- S. degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent job experience
- 5+ years experience in embedded software development in multi-threaded environment
- Working knowledge of RTOS concepts
- Working knowledge of Ethernet and TCP/IP based communications using a network sockets API
- Substantial C and C++ coding experience
- System knowledge of servo controlled, robotic, or full electro-mechanical device architectures
- Experience with .NET, C# and general windows application programming preferred
- Experience with imaging systems, image processing and digital video CODECs is a plus
- Familiarity with emulators, logic analyzers, JTAG and other common embedded development and debug tools
- Working knowledge of JPEG, MPEG and H264 compression is a plus
