Location : Rancho Cucamonga, CA
Seeking a Structural Project Engineer with experience in the warehouse Material Handling industry. This individual will be concepting, designing, pricing, implementing, and commissioning custom tailored solutions ranging from warehouse storage to automated systems for our customers. They will be working with our clients in the analysis of their operations, propose solutions that boost operations efficiency, and coordination of projects. They will also be working with our vendors and subcontractors in integrating these solutions into our clients’ facilities across the country. Warehouse material handling industry experience is preferable.
Skills Requirement
- Design structural elements of warehouse material handling systems, including racks, mezzanine and equipment support structures
- Familiarity with design codes: California Building Code and RMI for rack design
- Knowledge of current available storage solutions in the warehouse Material Handling industry
- Generate bill of materials, requests for proposal packages, and cost estimates
- Field measure existing facilities
- Prepare concept and final engineered drawing packages utilizing AutoCAD 2D/3D
- Order material and review approval drawings
- Fabrication experience is preferred
- Set up and manage project schedules with Gantt charts
- Coordinate material shipments and deliveries
- Vendor, subcontractor, and client communications
- Coordinate project implementation with steel erection trades
- Manage projects and sign-off with city inspectors and clients
- Travel within the USA, 1-2 times per month
