Summary
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for demand and supply planning and sourcing/ purchasing to facilitate the successful delivery of the order fulfillment cycle. This role leads and manages supply chain transformation inclusive of SIOP, sourcing, long-term planning, purchasing, scheduling and related analysis and improvement processes. He/she ensures alignment with business objectives and customer demands. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution to drive operational excellence through active involvement in day-to-day planning, execution, and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform long-term planning including the development of long lead-time material plans and purchase agreements, as well as long-term capacity and offload/ replenishment plans.
- Active engagement in forecasting, sourcing and supply chain network design.
- Facilitate the SIOP (Sales Inventory Operations Planning) process and ensure the process and cadence result in the appropriate decisions get elevated to the Executive SIOP meeting participants proactively.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for Purchasing, Production Planning and Scheduling, Inventory Management, Document Control, and other supply chain functions as needed.
- Lead and support the planning function, providing direction, mentorship, and continuous improvement while remaining actively involved in day-to-day execution.
- Personally support execution-level activities including purchase planning, PO follow-ups, supplier expediting, and issue resolution as needed to support production and kiosk deployments.
- Proactively monitor and resolve issues related to inventory levels, material shortages, labor loading, capacity constraints, and production bottlenecks through direct action and cross-functional
- Work directly with suppliers to manage lead times, constraints, and capacity limitations, especially during new kiosk builds and rollouts.
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Quality, and
- Maintain and improve BOM accuracy, planning parameters, and lead times within ERP/MRP systems.
- Leverage ERP systems to improve forecasting accuracy, streamline processes, and enhance production planning capabilities.
- Communicate production, capacity, and material risks to senior leadership, providing clear recommendations and associated business impacts.
- Manage and develop metrics to monitor progress to ensure successful service to customers while maximizing profits and accelerating cash flow.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or equivalent professional experience; APICS and ISM certifications preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in purchasing, production planning, master scheduling, or inventory management within a complex manufacturing or deployment-driven environment.
- Proven leadership capabilities with experience managing and mentoring teams.
- Strong working knowledge of SIOP / IBP processes, including demand-supply alignment, scenario planning, and executive-level communication.
- Advanced experience with ERP systems and planning tools; proven ability to drive system enhancements and process improvements.
- Ability to perform capacity modeling, ramp planning, and financial impact analysis (revenue risk, cost trade-offs, margin implications).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex planning concepts to both operational teams and senior leadership.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional partners including Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations.
Work Environment
- Primarily an office environment, with occasional time spent in manufacturing and warehouse areas.
