POSITION OVERVIEW
A Microsoft Business Central Developer designs, develops, and maintains Microsoft Business Central (BC) software and components. Responsibilities include optimizing system performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring seamless integration with other applications.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop and maintain BC software and solutions
- Customize BC solutions to meet business requirements
- Collaborate with other developers, project managers, and business analysts to develop custom solutions
- Create technical documentation and provide training to end-users
- Participate in the full software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment
- Identify and troubleshoot issues in the software, providing timely resolution
- Stay up to date with the latest BC development trends and technologies
- Provide technical support to end-users as needed
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong knowledge of Dynamics BC development environment and C/AL programming language
- Proficiency in developing and customizing BC reports and interfaces
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug BC application issues
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and experience in designing and optimizing SQL queries
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions for complex business problems
- Strong understanding of ERP systems and business processes
- Experience with Python, and/or C#
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Expertise in writing efficient SQL code for complex queries
- Experience working with any ERP system
- Previous experience in foodservice distribution
- Previous experience with Business Central
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a BC developer
