Trade Compliance Analyst

Location : Beverly, MA

Salary : $80,000 — $120,000

Bonus : discretionary $1/k-$10/k

To strengthen the overall Trade Compliance function and reduce current operational bottlenecks, hiring of a Trade Compliance professional to carry out the following will be required. This role does not need to be filled by a senior expert; an entry‑level candidate with strong attention to detail, good organizational habits, and data‑driven thinking would be highly effective with the right guidance.

Key Areas of Trade Compliance to Support

A new hire would help build capability across the four core silos of Trade Compliance:

• Imports
• Exports
• Licensing
• Classifications (HTS/ECCN/Technology)

These areas require consistent accuracy, documentation discipline, and clear communication with Shipping, Sales, Procurement, and Operations.

Soft Skills Needed

The individual should demonstrate:

• Strong attention to detail
• Data‑driven decision making
• Willingness to learn regulatory concepts
• Ability to follow structured processes
• Problem‑solving and task ownership

Even without deep trade experience, these traits will allow them to develop quickly with proper mentorship.

Planned Development Path

The new hire would gradually assume more responsibilities as they advance. Their onboarding plan would include:

• Rotational support in the Shipping Department to understand document flow, markings, and data requirements
• Completing all required internal and external trade compliance training courses
• Assisting with document markings, technical data identification, and accuracy checks
• Helping roll out standard procedures, training modules, and documentation updates
• Taking on basic classification and transaction review tasks under supervision
• Supporting reporting, data validation, and recordkeeping improvements

Over time, responsibilities will shift more heavily toward Trade Compliance functions.
