Seeking an Engineering Manager to join our fast-paced leadership team – someone who loves to lead Engineers in transforming design concepts and customer needs into elegant, practical designs. In our fast-paced manufacturing environment, our ideal Engineering Manager leads our team of design Engineers in meeting and exceeding internal and customer requirements, feels a strong sense of ownership of the full product designs, and works proactively with the rest of our leadership team for rapid, continuous improvement.


  • Presentation Skills – comfortable and effective in presenting technical aspects of Company’s product to non-technical customers at any level from buyer to C-suite
  • Demonstrated success leading teams of design Engineers in mechanical and electromechanical products
  • Fanatical customer-focus to ensure we exceed their needs and wants
  • Finely tuned sense of cost and value – in design cost estimating and driving continual cost reduction
  • Passion for configuration management and configuration controls
  • Effectiveness in translating between Engineering and business-oriented communications
  • An adaptable, flexible, high-energy personality

You will be managing several design Engineers and other Engineering support staff to get the job done, every day!


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks or other 3D modeling software
  • Solid working knowledge of PDM, and ERP systems. Experience with Abas ERP highly desired
  • Estimating – quick, reasonably accurate, repeatable cost estimation
  • Team leadership – guidance and growth for Engineers, resource and capacity planning. Ability to guide and coordinate Engineers and make decisions when necessary
  • Technical project management – organization, tenacity, scheduling, attention to detail
  • Sales support – Responsive to sales with info, guidance and support presales and immediately after the sale
  • Multidisciplinary technical competence – sheet metal, additive manufacturing, electrical, displays/computers, systems integration
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks, and to assess and prioritize tasks
  • Strong record of successful engineering design project execution
  • Significant experience designing electrical and electromechanical systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate highly technical issues to non-technical audiences from direct hourly labor to C-Suite level
  • Ability to effectively discern business priorities and business/customer needs, translate these into technical requirements, and effectively communicate these requirements to design engineers
