Scope

The IT Business Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing and managing new technology solutions to improve business efficiency and productivity. The IT Business Analyst works closely with different functional areas across the Company to enable technology solutions that meet business needs.

The IT Business Analyst demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. They depend on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. They perform a variety of tasks and can function as an implementation project manager when needed.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Act as lead application owner from IT for specific business systems (ERP, PLM, QMS, CRM, etc.) throughout the implementation lifecycle, with expertise in Salesforce systems
  • Identify options for potential solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability
  • Translate business and functional requirements into highly specified system requirements documents
  • Map current and future state processes by working with functional leads across Company
  • Provide architectural direction, IT and business strategy, and guidance to bridge the gap between information technology and the business
  • Participate in end-to-end implementation planning including project management, issue management, communication and change management
  • Utilize agile methodologies to consistently deliver minimally viable products as part of broader digital transformation efforts
  • Identify risks, conflicts, and dependencies within and across projects
  • Manage and track multiple active and pending projects
  • Liaise extensively with external service providers, consultants and internal stakeholders
  • Write user documentation to systems as needed for all audiences
  • Assist with designing and implementing user training infrastructure to promote user success in new and existing systems
  • Keep up to date with technical and industry developments
  • Analyze industry, technology, and market trends to determine their potential impacts on the enterprise
  • Help develop project management standards, procedures, templates, and other shared documentation

Skills

  • 4+ years in related role in addition to bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
  • Strong experience in using cloud-based applications and services
  • Proficient in using productivity (Office 365 preferred), project management tools, such as Asana, MS Project or equivalent
  • Broad business and/or technical work experience
  • Broad understanding of master data governance and analysis
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into business friendly terms
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including an ability to articulate ideas clearly and appropriately influence others
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and teamwork skills

  • Ability to thrive in a demanding, change-oriented, fast paced environment requiring a high degree of deadline-driven productivity
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle and prioritize multiple requests
  • Able to identify upstream and downstream impact analysis through experience, systems, and processes
  • May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be solid contributor/specialist
  • Exceptional written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines
