Location : Fort Worth, TX

This position is primarily responsible for assisting and supporting the lead R&D engineers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work with Research and Development team to manage projects
• Prepare reports, including weekly/monthly department status updates of multiple projects
• Support R&D team with administrative tasks
• Perform technical writing (test plans, procedures, reports) to document performance of products
• Perform hands-on lab work, assembling, testing, disassembling and evaluating materials in accordance with industry standards and procedures
• Present test results and project statuses to upper management
• Purchase and disposition of R&D materials
• Assist lead scientists in the areas of corrosion, materials, and protective coatings in the aviation industry
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and compliance with industry safety standards

Required Qualifications

• Degree in a scientific or engineering discipline, or experience to commensurate with Primary Responsibilities listed above
• Ability to manage multiple projects with a high level of organization within a fast-paced environment
• Ability and desire to work in a laboratory environment and familiarity with common analytical techniques
• Ability to handle chemicals in a safe and efficient manner
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS SharePoint, MS Teams
• Ability and desire to work cohesively with the existing core engineering and innovation teams
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be US citizen

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with common laboratory safety standards
• Detail-oriented
• Experience in any of the following: machining, power tools, fabrication, wiring
• Experience with aviation corrosion and/or corrosion prevention
• Experience with ASTM and ISO standards
• Experience with FAA regulations
