Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations
Maintain Internet connectivity for all sites to include router/switch configuration and maintenance
Responsible for maintaining the company Wide Area Network/Local Area Network.
Performs disaster recovery operations and data backups
Protecting data, software, and hardware by planning and implementing network security measures
Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems
Replacing network hardware components when required
Maintain and monitor virus protection software and email applications
Maintains network storage
Annual security awareness training
Knowledge
Bachelor degree in Information Technology related field of study with a network focus
Strong understanding of network infrastructure, network hardware and IT best practices
Knowledge of current internal and external networking protocols and equipment, data communication encryption techniques and methodologies, operating systems, network design and security, and monitoring/management tools as well as firewalls, switches, routers and other network devices
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Windows Server and desktop products, Active Directory, Group Policy, Office 365, Cisco switches/firewalls/routers, Fortigate firewalls, cloud technology (AWS and/or Azure), and Linux
Strong understanding of security, intrusion detection and prevention, contingency planning and disaster recovery strategies
Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, and controllers
Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems
Ability to keep up to date on new technology and products
Requirements
Experience with current cloud computing technologies (i.e. AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.)
5-10 years or more experience in a hands-on infrastructure, networking role
Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and oral
A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.
