Identify, manage and close profitable new business in accounts where the Company currently has no, or minimal, presence
Develop a 12 – 24 months pipeline of well qualified incremental business opportunities including estimated revenue and growth potential
Map key decision makers and influencers and develop an opening and penetration strategy, constantly revising and reprioritizing prospects as their business need evolves
Execute creatively and with determination against this strategy in order to develop and close every opportunity
Understand customers’ technical and business requirements and translate those into Company solutions
Effectively demonstrate products to customers utilizing the Company’s standard sales process
Play a lead role in contract negotiations and ensure contract compliance
Work with the Account Sales Engineers to ensure that all Company products are sold into strategic accounts
Work with the PSI Partner to ensure they are properly trained on how to position and sell Company’s products. Evangelize the Company’s Deep Learning, 3D, and PC Vision & Edge Intelligence products to increase mindshare and selling time at the Partner.
Assists at trade shows and other marketing events
Coordinate evaluations utilizing the Applications Engineering team
Maintain operational excellence on a weekly basis by accurate forecasting and upward information flow
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven track record of sales performance in the automation industry
Proven track record of operating in a solutions sales environment
Entrepreneurial approach, results-driven, “Never give up” attitude
Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
PC literate with a working knowledge of MS Windows applications
Ability to work independently is required
Minimum education and work experience required
Technical or Business Degree
Proven sales experience and a good track record for exceeding sales targets is required
Experience in selling technical products to production managers and engineers is also required
