Shipping Manager

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Less-than-Load and Parcel Shipments with Carriers
• Give direction to production and warehouse personnel to prepare products required for on-time shipment of orders
• Coordinate freight quotes for Customer Service
• Prepare Shipping paperwork (including Exports) and populate Customers’ shipping portals
• Verbal and Written correspondence with Freight companies, Customer Service and Customers
• Manage incoming deliveries, Forklift Drivers, and receiving paperwork

Qualifications

• Bilingual strongly recommended
• Willing to take ownership of issues and chase resolution
• Flexible hours as business dictates
• Positive attitude, looking to solve problems they see

Shipping Metrics

• Primarily use FedEx for Ground shipments, unless another carrier mandated by Customer
• Dealing with Distribution Centers as well as independent Distributors
• Handle about 80 total shipments per day, with about 50% arranged by Customer and 5-10% Will call
