Warehouse Fulfillment Manager

$60,000 – $80,000

Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Manages all order fulfillment and warehousing aspects of a $13 million dollar e-commerce business growing at 15%-25% a year
  • Practices Six Sigma and/or Lean process improvement methods to improve fulfillment operations
  • Will be implementing and running the project to move to a new WMS system in the next 12 months, handling all aspects of the deployment and switchover
  • Implements and enforces proper fulfillment procedures such as demand based slotting, proper replenishment techniques, etc. 
  • Establishes, measures, and acts upon KPIs for each department and position
  • Develops total Christmas plan and procedures for running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during peak period by October
  • Ensures timely production and shipment of orders, minimizing damage and mis-shipment rates
  • Projects and foresees needs and demands of the fulfillment team making plans to ensure no disruptions in future operations
  • Leads hiring effort of fulfillment staff both off-season and on-season
  • Conducts job time studies to better optimize fulfillment processes
  • Semi-annual evaluation and optimization of fulfillment product and order flow
    • Receive > Stock > Pick  > Produce > QC > Pack > Ship
  • Coordinates all fulfillment functions with shipping companies, 3PL, and vendors
  • Develops a deep bench of leaders waiting to step into each role as needed
  • Conducts data gathering, data analysis, and proactive process implementation and improvement
  • Negotiates contracts with vendors
  • Create culture of continuous improvement reducing waste and maximizing resources
  • Ensures effective preventive maintenance to ensure a high level of uptime and efficiency
  • Ensures all supplies that are needed for fulfillment are on-hand at all times
  • Identify cost savings opportunities in the operations process and recommend improvements needed to address those costs
  • Remedies any unexpected problems that occur which would impede fulfillment from achieving their daily/weekly goals. Including issues with software vendors and third-parties.
  • Leading and developing a team of 12+
  • Leading and developing 3 shifts of 20 people each during peak

Qualifications and Skills

  • Direct fulfillment experience leading a fulfillment team
  • Data driven individual with strong analytical and process design/implementation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Management, Fulfillment Operations, or related field
  • 5+ years of management experience in fulfillment or distribution
  • Strong excel and computer skills
  • Natural aptitude for leading people; developing managers and teams
  • Ability to hold staff accountable to goals and objectives, including disciplinary when necessary
  • Self-motivated and able to own workloads, meet deadlines and deliver results
